A dynamic worshiping community exists at Shenandoah University, and each Sunday during the academic year, students, university employees, their families and the Winchester community worship together, beginning at noon in Goodson Chapel / Recital Hall. Sunday Chapel combines ancient and emerging, diverse and unified, safe and challenging, artful and thoughtful, playful and profound elements.
Higher Ground is a unique late-night service that refreshes, invigorates and revives the soul. This student-led program offers fellowship, worship and, yes, a house band. Higher Ground fosters closer relationships with Christ and with others in a relaxed setting each Wednesday night at 9 p.m. throughout the academic year. 
Festival Chapels occur throughout the year to mark holidays and special events such as, Martin Luther King Jr. day and Ash Wednesday. Office of Spiritual Life
